  3. A: Windows 95 users have 3 options available to them for accessing their     NetWare services.

NetWare Client v1.2 for DOS/Windows - This client offers a 16-bit solution today that supports all your current NetWare services including NetWare Directory Services.  It is available from Novell with every version of NetWare and can be downloaded for free from Novell's NetWire forum on Compuserve.  Users can also purchase a NetWare Client v1.2 for DOS/Windows client kit for $99 that includes diskettes and printed documentation.

Microsoft Client for NetWare - Is available from Microsoft with your Windows 95 operating system.  This client offers Windows 95 users a good basic connection to NetWare file and print services and is conveniently installed with your Windows 95 desktop. This client does not include NetWare Directory Services (NDS) access however, nor does it support many of the popular NetWare services and features beyond LAN access to file and print services.

NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 - is available as a pre-release product from Novell beginning September 30, 1995 and will ship as a released product from Novell about 60 days later.  This client offers full-featured, high-performance 32-bit NetWare services access optimized for Windows 95 connectivity.

A: Novell customers who need full access to their NetWare services from Windows 95 today should use the NetWare Client v1.2 for DOS and Windows.  Using this client will ensure full featured, robust and reliable access to NetWare services including NetWare Directory Services and full availability and supportability of NetWare features like Packet Burst, Packet Signature, SFTIII, NetWare/ IP and more.  This client is designed and optimized to fully access all the services of NetWare 4.  Novell is also providing an automated upgrade utility to easily migrate from the NetWare Client for DOS and Windows to NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 as soon as Client 32 is available.  Users can get detailed instructions for installing and using this client from Novell's World Wide Web page HTTP://Netwire.novell.com and from Novell's NetWire forum on Compuserve.
